After studying at the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, he began his career at the Olivetti Corporate Identity Service. Afterwards he worked for 5 years with a renowned Master of Italian Design designing a wide variety of products in different industrial sectors. In 1986 he founded Micieli Design Workshop where he created a large number of projects for consumer goods and appliances, electronic devices and medical equipment, accessories for domestic use, for companies located in the United States, Japan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, India, China, Germany, Italy. His designs have been awarded in design awards including the Compasso d’oro, Design Index and SMAU Industrial Design Awards.
He has held seminars in various design universities, exhibitions and industrial clusters.
Recently he was a member of the jury at the Design Turkey Award.

Since 1985 he develops his artistic research which, starting from Basic Design, is considered as "concrete art". He has exhibited in numerous solo and group international exhibitions.
His works are found in important museums and public collections both in Italy and abroad.
